Sensitivity Counseling
Are you a highly sensitive or empathetic person? For many sensitive people, the world can feel exhausting and overwhelming, and you might find yourself making choices that keep your world small. While this can feel safer, there is often a tradeoff for the relationships, community, sense of security, and life experiences you desire. You may have also put the needs of others so often before your own that you don’t even know your own needs and preferences to be able to take action.
If you need help understanding and befriending your sensitive nature, or establishing some boundaries from those around you, sensitivity counseling may be a great fit. This work stems from the research of Elaine Aron, who coined the phrase “highly sensitive person.”
